- I keep what the site needs to run your account, and nothing more.
- No ads, no tracking scripts, and I never sell your data.
- A few services help me run the site. They are all listed below.
What I keep, and why
- Your email
- To sign you in with a one-time code or link, and to write to you about your account.
- What you tell me about yourself
- Your name, @handle, what you do and what you want to build, and the other answers in first-run setup. I use them to rank AI News for you and to set up Home and Ria. You can change them in Settings.
- What you do on the site
- The stories you read (for your streak), what you save, the BuildLab steps you tick, and your Community posts and replies. Community posts show your name and @handle to other members.
- Your chats with Ria
- Your conversations, and short notes Ria keeps about you so she can help better next time. You can turn the notes off, or delete them one by one or all at once, in Settings under "What Ria remembers". To answer you, your message and those notes are sent to the AI service that writes Ria's answers (DeepSeek). Please don't tell Ria passwords or secrets.
- What you circle for Ria
- When you circle something on a page and ask Ria about it, the words or picture you circled go with your question.
- Your payments
- Razorpay takes your payment. I never see your card or bank details. I keep the payment ID, the amount and currency, the kind of payment (card, UPI and so on), its status and dates, and whether you are on a one-month pass or auto-renew.
- A friend's link
- If you arrive through a friend's link, its code is kept on your device for 30 days and used once when you sign up, so your friend gets their thanks.
On your device
The site keeps a few small things in your browser: your sign-in, your theme, which areas you opened today, the role you picked on AI News, the list of areas you can open, and the link or ad you first came from. If you tapped one of my ads on Instagram or Facebook, the site also keeps the click's ID from Meta, for 90 days. It does not use tracking cookies.
Who else handles it
- Supabase keeps the database and handles sign-in. It is hosted in India (Mumbai).
- Vercel hosts the site and runs its small server functions, also in Mumbai. It also counts visits to each page, without cookies.
- Razorpay takes payments.
- An email service sends your sign-in codes.
- DeepSeek writes Ria's answers, as above.
- Google Fonts, jsDelivr and cdnjs deliver the fonts and code libraries the pages use. When a page loads, their servers see your IP address, as with any website.
- Calendly handles bookings if you book a call. Its own privacy policy applies there.
- Meta, only if you came from one of my ads on Instagram or Facebook. When you make an account or pay, I send Meta your email in scrambled form (a hash), the click's ID and, for a payment, the amount. Meta uses them to show my ads to people likely to join. No Meta script runs on these pages.
I do not share your data with anyone else, and Ria never shows one member's name or details to another.
How long I keep it, and how to remove it
I keep your account data while your account exists. Payment records I may have to keep for as long as the law requires. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account and data deleted, ask me on the Contact page, from the email you signed up with. Settings lets you change your profile and Ria's notes yourself.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and to withdraw your consent, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where they apply to you, the GDPR and similar laws. If you are unhappy with an answer, tell me on the Contact page.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, I will say so on the site and change the date at the top.
