Google announces Gemini 4 Argon, but only cyber defenders can use it yet

- On 30 September Google announced Gemini 4 Argon, its new frontier model, and gave it first to a set of trusted cyber defenders through its Fairwind Program.
- Introductory pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output, rising to $4 and $20 later. The output limit is 1 million tokens, up from 64K.
- Developers, enterprises and consumers get it "as soon as possible", starting with paid API customers and Google AI Ultra subscribers. Google gives no date.
